Courses

This class is two hours of lecture based content. It focuses on developing an understanding of the criminal mindset in order to illustrate what they look for in a potential victim. This understanding is then translated into learning how to avoid looking like an easy target. For situations where Awareness and Avoidance are insufficient to deter a confrontation, the concept of de-escalation is explained as well as the context where it is applicable. Use of OC spray (pepper spray) is also covered during this course. Given that this class focuses on soft skills that help prevent victimization, it is a vital seminar for both shooters and non-shooters, alike. These soft skills are critical in developing the ability to discern when a problem can resolved without needing to use one’s firearm defensively.

This class is a 4 hour module split between a classroom and the range. Training guns and training (dummy) rounds will be used during the classroom portion of the class. NO LIVE FIREARMS ARE PERMITTED IN THE CLASSROOM. (Firearms must be unloaded and remain in a closed container when in the classroom.) Targets will be provided.
